This species is listed as Endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).According to IUCN Red List assessment, population of this endemic species maybe decreasing all over its range. There is little known about it poulation and it is roughly estimated to be less than 400 individuals scattered in different small subpopulations. Major threats to its survival come from habitat destruction by various anthropogenic activities.
