According to IUCN Red List assessment, population of this species maybe decreasing. Its population is estimated to be between 13 and 45 individuals per hectare. The population is restricted to small isolated localities which makes it even more vulnerable. Threats to its survival mainly come from  habitat loss due to agricultural expansion, mining, logging etc.
