It inhabits high altitudes of Himalayas of Kashmir and some part of Pakistan. Nothing much is known about its habits.

Conservation Status:

 This species is listed as Near Threatened in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).


According to IUCN Red List assessment, population of this species may be decreasing. There is no information available ragarding its population and population trends. It is possible that habitat modification, fragmentation, residential and commercial development, occasional trapping might have caused some damage to its population and perhaps continue to do so.
